A really cool gift...

It's summer in Hanoi at the moment, and it's unbearably hot, even for us Queensland girls. Some days there is just no escaping the heat.I recently blogged about a visit with Marc from the 100 friends project. Marc kindly gave the students a donation of $100 for them to choose something they would like.
After weeks of excitement and deliberation they decided that they would like..... a fridge!
Not quite what you would expect from a group of 20 yr olds, but it makes perfect sense. Having a fridge in the centre where they live and attend the classes is a great idea. We agreed to match the donation to help them to achieve this.
We can all relate to the luxury of a cold drink in the summer. Not to mention the health benefits of keeping groceries fresh.
